Harry Kane has a release clause in his Bayern Munich contract that could allow him to leave the club at an affordable price, according to Bild.

The German champions have been securing long-term deals for key players, but Kane’s contract includes a condition that could become a major issue for Bayern in the near future.

Bild reports that Kane had a clause allowing him to leave this winter for €80 million, but no club activated it, and the player himself showed no interest in departing.

However, next winter, Kane’s release clause will drop to just €65 million, a figure well within reach for several top clubs. The clause states that while the transfer could be agreed in winter 2025, it would only take effect in summer 2026.

Kane’s impact at Bayern Munich

Kane joined Bayern in 2023 for €100 million, and his performances have justified the investment. The England captain has been a dominant force in the Bundesliga, scoring 70 goals and providing 22 assists in just 72 appearances.

Despite his importance to the team, the clause in his contract now puts Bayern in a vulnerable position. If a club activates the clause in the coming years, the German giants could lose their star striker for significantly less than his current market value.

With this revelation, the football world will be watching closely to see which clubs might consider making a move for Kane in the near future.
