Kate Ferdinand said her family slept in their basement after air strikes hit Dubai, as tensions escalated following attacks involving Iran, the US, and Israel.
Kate Ferdinand revealed her family spent the night in their basement after air strikes and explosions were reported in Dubai during escalating regional tensions.
The 34-year-old former The Only Way Is Essex star, who lives in the UAE with her husband Rio Ferdinand and their children, reassured followers on social media that they are safe.
Missile and drone attacks followed military action involving Iran, the United States and Israel, with reports of blasts across Gulf states over the weekend.
Writing on Instagram, Kate Ferdinand said: "Thank you for all of your messages and sorry for the silence. I haven't wanted to worry you all. We are safe."
She added: "The government is doing an amazing job of keeping it that way, and despite my nerves, I feel we are in very safe hands. We are hoping for a calmer evening tonight; last night was very scary."
The family, who moved to Dubai last year, sheltered together overnight. She shared that their young children treated the situation like a sleepover in the basement.
The update comes shortly after Kate spoke on her podcast Blended about adjusting to life in the UAE. She admitted the heat has affected her skin and said she misses home and her stepsons, who remain in the UK to pursue their football careers.
Rio Ferdinand, the former Manchester United defender, shares three children with Kate, while his older sons continue their development in England.
Despite the fear of the past days, Kate Ferdinand ended her message by saying she is praying for everyone affected and thanking supporters for their concern.
