English pop icon Robbie Williams will headline the World Cup draw in Washington, D.C., where U.S. President Donald Trump will attend to receive FIFA’s first-ever Peace Award.
Robbie Williams will perform in front of millions at Friday’s FIFA World Cup draw in Washington D.C., sharing the stage with Nicole Scherzinger and a star-studded lineup — including the Village People, who will close the event with their iconic anthem “YMCA.”
The English pop superstar, known for his lifelong support of Port Vale, will headline the ceremony at the Kennedy Center, where the final draw for the 2026 World Cup — hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada — will be conducted.
The event will feature a rare appearance by U.S. President Donald Trump, who has confirmed his attendance. He is set to receive the newly created FIFA Peace Award, becoming the first person in history to be presented with the honor. The award reportedly recognizes his role in “supporting global football initiatives and promoting cross-border cooperation through sport.”
Hosting duties will be shared by Heidi Klum, Kevin Hart, and Danny Ramirez. Klum, who also co-hosted the 2006 World Cup draw in Germany, said: “To be hosting the final draw again, after having been involved in this show 20 years ago in my home country, is truly extraordinary. The World Cup brings the world together like nothing else.”
Ramirez added: “As someone who grew up playing football, getting to co-host the draw and meet legends at such a high-profile event is a dream. With this World Cup coming to both the United States and Mexico, where my roots lie, it’s even more special.”
The event’s musical performances will also include a set by Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, while several former football stars are expected to take part in the draw proceedings and a special video presentation the following day, when the official match schedule and venues will be confirmed.
The ceremony begins at 5pm ET (10pm GMT) and will last around 90 minutes. England manager Thomas Tuchel and other national team coaches are expected to attend, with FIFA also hosting workshops and meetings around the tournament logistics.
