Roberto Carlos denies rumors about his living situation after his seventh divorce, clarifying he resides with relatives and not at Real Madrid’s facilities, while addressing media speculation.
Roberto Carlos, the celebrated Brazilian footballer, is enduring another tough period after his seventh divorce. The 51-year-old recently separated from his wife of 15 years, Mariane Luccon, and has now taken to social media to address false rumors about where he is living.
Reports in British media suggested Carlos had moved to Real Madrid's training camp, but the football legend dismissed these claims as ridiculous and far from reality. He clarified that he is currently staying in an apartment owned by a family member.
"In recent days, harmful and false stories about me and my family have been circulating. I value my privacy, but I must refute these absurd rumors about where I live. These fabricated stories exist only to drive clicks and readership. Currently, I am living in an apartment belonging to my family members. My lawyers are investigating these claims and the lies, and we may pursue legal action. Please respect my privacy," wrote the legendary Brazilian on Twitter.
Carlos’s divorce from Luccon is expected to be complicated due to the wealth accumulated during their marriage, which is estimated at $160 million.
Today, Carlos works as an ambassador for Real Madrid, following a brief and largely unsuccessful managerial career in Turkey, where he coached Sivasspor and Akhisarspor. During his playing career, Carlos spent 11 years at Real Madrid, scoring 70 goals and cementing his reputation as one of the greatest left-backs in football history.
