Spanish midfielder Rodri continues to collect personal accolades, having been named the best player at Euro 2024.
Rodri has once again proven that he belongs among the all-time greats. He helped Spain secure the European Championship title at Euro 2024 in Germany and was selected as the tournament's best individual player. The 28-year-old from Madrid has accumulated numerous accolades, having already been named Man of the Match in Champions League and Nations League finals, and now at the Euros.
In the recently concluded European Championship, Rodri made six appearances and scored one goal, being a dominant presence in midfield.
In the final, he suffered an injury, causing concern among Spanish fans. However, Martin Zubimendi stepped in and admirably filled his shoes. In the national team jersey, Rodri, a former Atletico Madrid player, has already made 56 appearances (scoring four goals and providing two assists).
English champions Manchester City acquired him for 70 million euros in 2019, a move that has paid off handsomely. In the 2022/23 season, Rodri was City's best player.
