Rodri, one of Manchester City’s most vital players, has revealed that his recovery from a serious ACL injury in his knee is progressing faster than expected. The Spanish midfielder, often regarded as the team’s engine, shared his optimism about returning to action before the end of the season during an appearance on the The Rest Is Football podcast hosted by Gary Lineker and Micah Richards.

"My goal is to return this season. I’m not giving up on this campaign, but I also don’t want to make any mistakes. My target is to be back in six or seven months. I’m recovering much better than expected," Rodri explained. "I’m trying to enjoy the rest as much as I can, if you can even call it that," he added with a touch of humor.
The Premier League season ends on May 25, but City’s commitments will likely extend to June 15, when the club begins its participation in the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.
