Ruben Amorim has arrived in Manchester, meeting staff and some players, with his debut as manager set after the international break.
Portuguese coach Ruben Amorim has officially arrived at Manchester United. Known for his impressive track record with Sporting Lisbon, the 39-year-old takes on the challenge of restoring United to the top of English football. He’ll lead the team for the first time in two weeks.
Amorim toured the club’s facilities and met with staff and some members of the squad. Although unable to conduct training sessions yet due to pending visa arrangements, he’s expected to be fully operational in the coming days.
At United, Amorim reunites with fellow Portuguese players Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot. He also has a connection with midfielder Manuel Ugarte, whom he coached at Sporting before Ugarte moved to PSG. Ugarte, new to Old Trafford this summer, is likely to play a significant role, given his familiarity with Amorim’s approach.
Amorim will make his sideline debut for United on November 24, in an away Premier League match against Ipswich.
