Maya Jama has sparked fresh social media speculation after posting a playful message just one day after her former partner, Manchester City defender Ruben Dias, shared an emotional update online.
The Love Island presenter, 31, and the Portugal international, 29, ended their 18-month relationship in April. While both have largely avoided discussing the breakup publicly, their latest social media activity has once again attracted plenty of attention.
Dias recently posted a photo on Instagram alongside the caption "Feelings on silent," a message many fans interpreted as a reflection on the end of the relationship.
Just a day later, Maya appeared with a humorous sponsored post created in collaboration with ice cream brand Solero.
Alongside the campaign, she joked: "Some people catch feelings, I catch Soleros."
Although Maya made no direct reference to Dias, the timing of the post quickly became a talking point among fans on social media.
Different paths after the breakup
Since their separation, both have focused on their careers.
Dias represented Portugal at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where the national team reached the round of 16 before being eliminated. Following the tournament, the defender enjoyed a holiday in Ibiza before returning to prepare for the new season.
Maya, meanwhile, spent much of the summer hosting another successful season of Love Island, once again presenting the live final after weeks of filming.
With filming complete, she has been sharing snapshots from her holiday, including photographs from a beach club where she was seen wearing a purple bikini top and striped shorts before later jumping fully clothed into a swimming pool after returning to her villa.
Dating rumours continue
Earlier this month, Maya was also photographed with chef James Freeman outside his restaurant, Acre, in London's Notting Hill.
The pair were seen chatting after Maya had spent the afternoon at the restaurant with friends, with photographers capturing them hugging during their conversation.
According to eyewitnesses, the two appeared relaxed and comfortable in each other's company, although neither has commented publicly on the nature of their relationship.
Maya and Ruben address the split
Following the breakup, Maya explained why she has always chosen to approach relationships openly despite the intense public attention.
"Truth is, even when I tried to keep my relationships private, we get photographed anyway. I'm an all-or-nothing girl. I don't casually date, so yes, I will love loudly or not at all, and if it ends, it ends. I decided a long time ago not to base personal life decisions on public opinions."
Dias also spoke publicly after online rumours suggested he had been unfaithful during the relationship, strongly denying the allegations.
"Maya and I have always had a relationship built on mutual respect. No line was ever crossed in that regard."
He added that the reasons behind their breakup remain private and insisted that neither of them should be portrayed unfairly for the sake of headlines.
"I didn't cheat, nor did I ever have the intention or temptation to. The reasons why we broke up are private and belong to us. We've both dealt with it in a very mature way."
Although both appear to be moving forward with their lives, their latest social media posts have once again placed their former relationship firmly back in the spotlight.
