Serbian coach Dejan Stanković, now with Spartak Moscow, lost his temper and attempted to confront the rival coach during a 3-0 victory in the Russian Cup derby against Dinamo Moscow.
After stints with Red Star Belgrade, Sampdoria, and Ferencváros, legendary Serbian footballer and coach Dejan Stanković took over Spartak Moscow with the aim of leading the Russian football giant to a championship title.
Stanković had a rocky start with Spartak, losing the season opener to Orenburg before securing three points against Khimki. This was followed by a commanding 3-0 victory in the city derby against Dinamo Moscow in the Russian Cup. However, the match was marked by significant tension.
At one point, Stanković began hurling insults at Dinamo's bench in Serbian, targeting assistant coach Rolan Gusev. Gusev responded with gestures that further enraged the Serbian coach, prompting Stanković to charge toward Dinamo's bench intending to fight.
The fourth official, positioned between the benches, intervened to stop Stanković. Spartak's coaching staff, including Stanković's assistant Nenad Sakić, played a crucial role in calming the situation.
