Mohamed Salah believes Paris Saint-Germain are the strongest team in Europe and hopes they go on to win the Champions League after eliminating Liverpool.
The Parc des Princes will host a decisive night as PSG take on Arsenal in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final, and one player watching closely will be Mohamed Salah.
The Liverpool star has already made up his mind on who deserves to lift the trophy. After facing PSG in the quarter-finals, Salah is convinced the French champions are Europe’s best team right now—and his personal favourites to win the title.
"We played against the best team in Europe. In the first match we were lucky because we had Alisson, but PSG were very unlucky. After the second match I congratulated them and wished them to win the competition this year," Salah told reporters.
PSG go into tonight’s second leg with a narrow 1-0 advantage over Arsenal, thanks to Ousmane Dembélé’s goal at the Emirates. While both clubs are chasing their first-ever Champions League title, Salah is leaning toward the Parisians to go all the way.
Arsenal and PSG have each reached a Champions League final before, but neither has managed to lift the trophy. Tonight, one will earn the right to challenge Inter Milan for European supremacy in the final on May 31.
