Mohamed Salah is reportedly on the verge of completing one of the biggest transfers in Turkish football history.

According to well-known Turkish transfer insider Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, the Egyptian superstar has reached a full agreement with Trabzonspor and is preparing to continue his career in the Turkish Super Lig.

If the move is completed, it would be one of the most high-profile signings ever made by the Black Sea club.

A lucrative two-year deal

The report claims Salah has accepted a two-year contract worth €17 million per season.

In addition to his salary, the 34-year-old is also expected to receive a €5 million signing bonus.

Perhaps the most unusual part of the agreement is a commercial clause that would reportedly entitle Salah to 20 percent of the revenue generated from the sale of his official jerseys.

Such arrangements are rare in football and underline the commercial impact the Egyptian forward is expected to have if the transfer goes through.

Medical expected soon?

According to the same reports, Salah is currently on holiday in Greece and is expected to travel to Istanbul to complete the next stages of the transfer.

The deal would represent a huge statement from Trabzonspor, with fellow Turkish giants Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe and Beşiktaş watching closely.

A new chapter after Liverpool

Salah built his reputation as one of the world's elite forwards during his years at Liverpool, becoming one of the greatest players in the club's modern history.

Before arriving in England, he also played for Basel, Chelsea, Fiorentina and Roma, after beginning his professional career with Egyptian club El Mokawloon.

Trabzonspor finished third in the Turkish Super Lig last season under head coach Fatih Tekke. The current squad already includes experienced names such as André Onana, Stefan Savić and Ruslan Malinovskyi.

If the reported agreement is finalized, Salah would become one of the biggest stars ever to play in the Turkish championship.
