Sandi Lovrić was named man of the match in Udinese’s 3-2 victory over Venezia, scoring a key goal in a much-needed win for the Serie A side.
Udinese secured a vital 3-2 victory over Venezia, putting an end to a difficult run of results in Serie A. Sandi Lovrić was the standout performer, earning the highest match rating (7.8) on Sofascore, making him the best player on the pitch.
The win comes at the perfect time for Udinese, who had failed to win in their previous five league matches, drawing three and losing two.
"A liberating victory for us. We haven’t had good results lately, so we’re really happy with these three points. I’m happy with the goal and hope to continue in this direction. I want to make the most of this positive moment in the season," said the 26-year-old Slovenian midfielder.
So far this season, Lovrić has made 22 Serie A appearances, scoring two goals and providing three assists.
Another Slovenian international, Jaka Bijol, also delivered a solid performance, earning a 7.2 rating for his contribution to Udinese’s crucial win.
