Red Star Belgrade faces a major setback as South Korean club Ulsan blocks the transfer of defender Seol Young-woo.

Red Star Belgrade has strengthened its squad with the additions of Luka Ilić, Dalcio, and Nemanja Stojić. However, the highly anticipated signing of South Korean full-back Seol Young-woo from Ulsan now seems unlikely to materialize. Reports from South Korea indicate that the Serbian champions are facing significant obstacles.

Korean media have reported that Seol Jang Woo will not don the red and white jersey anytime soon and join Red Star’s squad under coach Vladan Milojević.

Ulsan is reportedly unwilling to sell the defender until the end of the current season. Given that the South Korean league operates on a spring-to-fall schedule, with the season ending in a few months, Red Star might have to proceed without their targeted left-back for the European qualifiers.

Seol Young-woo is a South Korean international, equally adept at playing both left and right-back positions.
