In an unbelievable turn of events, Basel striker and former Partizan player Đorđe Jovanović (25) ignited social media with his reaction.

Following the conclusion of the first game in the ABA League basketball finals, where Red Star Belgrade defeated Partizan to take a 1-0 series lead, Jovanović shared inappropriate content on his Instagram. He later deleted the post.

"Shame on you. Disgusting. I hate Red Star, I love Partizan. Crush those thieving scum," wrote Jovanović.

Throughout his career, Đorđe Jovanović has played three matches for the Serbian national team under coach Dragan Stojković Piksi. He made his debut for Partizan's first team under coach Ivan Tomić in 2016, and coach Marko Nikolić later gave him more significant opportunities after progressing through Partizan's academy.

The Humska giant sold him to Belgian club Lokeren in the summer of 2018. Jovanović then played for Cádiz and Cartagena in Spain. In January 2021, he joined Čukarički and later moved to Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2022 for €2 million.

Last summer, he signed a four-year contract with Swiss club Basel. He played in the EURO 2024 qualifiers against Montenegro in Podgorica. Jovanović was born in Leposavić, Kosovo and Metohija.
