Serbian striker Dušan Vlahović rejoins the national squad for crucial UEFA Nations League matches against Switzerland and Denmark this November.
Serbia’s national football team is set for key Nations League matches against Switzerland and Denmark this November. The team will be strengthened by the return of Dušan Vlahović, who will rejoin the squad after a five-month absence.
National team director Stevan "Dika" Stojanović confirmed the news:
“Our primary goal is to remain in League A of the Nations League, and we believe we can achieve it. We’ve always counted on Dušan Vlahović; he was only absent due to family matters, as the public knows. Recently, he and coach Dragan Stojković spoke, and Dušan confirmed he’s ready and available if called up,” Stojanović told Kurir.
He also clarified that the national team selection process remains inclusive:
“Let’s be clear, the coach has not given up on any players, especially those with European Championship experience. The Nations League has provided us with the chance to test newer players against high-quality opponents. The rest are familiar to us and have been through a lot with the team. Public will soon know the full lineup when the list is announced,” Stojanović added.
