The Serie A title will be decided in the final round, but both Napoli and Inter will be without their head coaches, suspended after dramatic send-offs.
The Serie A title race will go down to the wire, but there’s a dramatic twist—both Napoli and Inter will enter the decisive final round without their managers on the touchline.
In the penultimate round, Napoli were held to a frustrating 0–0 draw by Parma, while Inter slipped in a 2–2 home draw against Lazio. That means Napoli hold a narrow one-point lead over the reigning champions heading into the final matchday of the season.
But the spotlight has now shifted from the pitch to the dugout. Both Antonio Conte and Simone Inzaghi were sent off over the weekend in separate incidents and will watch the final round from the stands.
Conte, known for his fiery temper, clashed with Parma’s bench and coach Adrian Mutu during the stalemate. His heated exchange led to a red card and suspension. Meanwhile, Inzaghi couldn’t contain his frustration during Inter’s draw with Lazio and was also dismissed by the referee after multiple outbursts from the sidelines.
In the decisive fixtures, Napoli will host Cagliari, while Inter travel to Como. Both matches are expected to be fiercely competitive, and now both title contenders will have to navigate the high-pressure finales without their key decision-makers on the sideline.
The Serie A title race, already one of the most exciting in recent memory, just got even more unpredictable.
