Sevilla is interested in acquiring Sardar Azmoun, who has been sidelined by Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso, and hopes to negotiate a loan deal.

Sevilla is looking to take advantage of the situation surrounding Sardar Azmoun, who has been sidelined by Bayer Leverkusen after failing to appear for the first day of preseason training.

Xabi Alonso decided to exclude the Iranian forward from the first team's activities after he missed the initial training session, later justifying his absence by claiming illness. When Azmoun showed up the following day in poor physical condition, Alonso chose to keep him out of the team's plans.

Azmoun is under contract with Leverkusen until 2027, but recent events have made it clear that he has no future at the club, and Leverkusen is now looking to offload him. Last season, Azmoun was on loan at Roma, who did not exercise their €12 million purchase option.

This situation presents a potential market opportunity for Sevilla, who are interested in bringing Azmoun on board. Given his sidelined status, Bayer Leverkusen is keen to find a new destination for him as soon as possible. However, Sevilla prefers to negotiate a loan deal rather than a full transfer, leveraging the pressure on Leverkusen to resolve Azmoun's situation quickly.
