Nigerian player Peter Olayinka, who joined Red Star Belgrade as a free agent, is desired back by Slavia Prague, but the €6 million compensation is a major hurdle.

Peter Olayinka arrived at Red Star Belgrade as a significant addition, joining as a free agent from Slavia Prague. He quickly became a fan favorite, delivering excellent performances and proving to be a valuable asset within a year. However, the Czech portal Infotbal has reported that the Nigerian is ready to return to Slavia.

The main issue is the compensation that Red Star is demanding for his services. According to the portal, Red Star is asking for a hefty €6 million for the player who arrived for free last summer. The question now is whether Slavia is willing to make such a move. The €6 million compensation is a massive amount for Slavia, as the Prague club has never paid more than €4 million for a player.

The club's record purchases were Nicolae Stanciu and David Zima from Torino last season. Olayinka played 183 matches for Slavia, scoring 50 goals and providing 26 assists, contributing significantly to the club's numerous trophy wins.
