A bizarre but potentially very dangerous incident overshadowed Spain's celebration after their 2-1 victory over France in the Euro semi-final.

The Spanish players went to celebrate with the fans in the stands. Some of them entered the pitch, and photographers also joined the players to capture the moments of celebration. At one point, security guards rushed into the crowd to eject a fan.

In their rush, two guards grabbed the fan, but a third guard slipped and accidentally kicked Spanish captain Alvaro Morata in the knee. Morata reacted with a shocked expression and a pained grimace, leaving the pitch limping. It didn't look harmless, and the Spanish feared that their key player might miss the Euro final on Sunday.

This morning, numerous fans and photographers were waiting outside the hotel where La Furia Roja was staying, to see the condition of Morata as the Spanish team was heading back to camp.

When he emerged from the building, everyone immediately asked him if he would play in the final. Morata responded with a smile, saying, "Yellow card and that's it." Spanish media interpreted this to mean that he was lightly injured in the incredible turn of events but would not miss the final, where Spain awaits the winner of tonight's match between England and the Netherlands.
