Lilly-Ella Gerrard, daughter of Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, is expecting her first child with partner Lee Byrne and has shared a heartfelt update as she nears her due date.
Lilly-Ella Gerrard, the 21-year-old daughter of football icon Steven Gerrard, has revealed she is just days away from welcoming her first child. Taking to Instagram, Lilly shared new photos of her growing baby bump, captioned simply: “Almost there.”
The baby will mark the first grandchild for the former England and Liverpool captain, who turns 45 on May 30. Lilly-Ella and her partner Lee Byrne announced the pregnancy in January, calling it “our little secret” in a heartwarming post featuring her positive pregnancy test.
Lee Byrne, 25, is the son of Liam Byrne, a convicted Irish gangster currently serving a prison sentence, though there is no suggestion Lee or the Gerrard family are involved in any criminal activity. The couple have been together since late 2022 and went public with their relationship during a holiday in Ibiza.
Steven Gerrard commented supportively on his daughter’s announcement earlier this year: “We can’t wait. Congratulations and we love you.” Lee also publicly expressed his excitement over becoming a father, often referring to Lilly as “the best person he’s ever met.”
The parents-to-be have not revealed the gender of their baby, leaving fans eagerly awaiting the news. Their journey has been shared with Lilly’s 222,000 Instagram followers, and the post has already drawn hundreds of well-wishes from fans and friends alike.
Lilly is the eldest of Steven and Alex Gerrard’s four children, which include daughters Lexie (19), Lourdes (14), and son Lio (8). The Gerrard and Byrne families are reportedly close, with Lee describing Alex as his “second mum.”
With her due date fast approaching, the Gerrard family is preparing for a new chapter—one that will see Steven Gerrard swap football boots for granddad duties.
