AC Milan edges Juventus 2-1 to set up a thrilling Super Cup final against Inter.
The second leg of the Italian Super Cup semi-final delivered high drama as AC Milan overcame Juventus to secure a spot in the final. Despite a bright start from Juventus, Milan turned the game around in just four minutes to claim a 2-1 victory.
Juventus took the lead in the 21st minute, thanks to a stunning strike from their 18-year-old rising star Kenan Yildiz. The Turkish international unleashed a powerful shot inside the penalty area, leaving Milan’s goalkeeper with no chance. Yildiz continues to build on his impressive form, cementing his status as a player to watch.
Juventus held their lead until the 71st minute, when Milan was awarded a penalty. American star Christian Pulisic calmly converted from the spot, leveling the score at 1-1. Just four minutes later, Milan completed the comeback.
The decisive goal came in the 75th minute under strange circumstances. Juventus defender Federico Gatti attempted to block a cross from outside the penalty area, but the ball deflected off him awkwardly and looped into the net. Milan held on to their 2-1 lead, securing their place in the final.
New AC Milan coach Sergio Conceicao enjoyed a successful debut, guiding his team to victory in his first match in charge. Conceicao’s tactical adjustments paid off, particularly in the second half, as Milan took control of the game and found a way to win.
