Takehiro Tomiyasu joins Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus on the injury list, ruling him out for the rest of the season.
Arsenal has endured a challenging month with injuries, as three key players have now undergone knee surgeries, leaving them sidelined for the rest of the season.
Following the recent operations of Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus, both of whom are expected to miss the remainder of the campaign, Japanese defender Takehiro Tomiyasu has also confirmed that his season is over. The 26-year-old revealed that he underwent knee surgery after a frustrating season in which he managed just six minutes of Premier League action—during a brief appearance against Southampton.
"A few days ago, I had knee surgery and have already started rehabilitation to return to what I love most. This is one of the toughest periods of my career, but I won’t give up," Tomiyasu shared on social media.
The defender, who joined Arsenal from Bologna in 2021, will now focus on recovery in hopes of returning fully fit for next season.
