Dinamo Zagreb coach Nenad Bjelica praises Martin Baturina and Petar Sučić for their performances with the Croatian national team, emphasizing the quality in the SHNL.
On the eve of the 100th anniversary of the opening of the Građanski stadium in Koturaška, Dinamo Zagreb coach Nenad Bjelica spoke at a press conference ahead of their SuperSport HNL match against Istra in Pula. The press event was held in HEP’s building, which stands on the site of the former Purgeri stadium, known as Pobjeda. During the ceremony, Dinamo unveiled a commemorative plaque in the presence of club president Velimir Zajec, Trnje district president Goran Đulić, and city official Luka Juroš.
In discussing Dinamo's upcoming schedule, Bjelica noted the intense period ahead, with six matches in three weeks, including two crucial Champions League away games against Salzburg and Slovan.
Bjelica also provided updates on his squad, confirming that goalkeeper Nevistić remains sidelined with a calf injury, while Bruno Petković is in doubt for the match against Istra. Mauro Perković suffered an injury in a friendly and will miss the game.
"We are ready for Pula and confident we can return with three points," Bjelica stated.
Bjelica took time to acknowledge the impressive performances of Martin Baturina and Petar Sučić, who recently shined for Croatia in the Nations League.
"Croatia played two great games, and I congratulate the Vatreni on their points. I'm proud that Dinamo's players made such a significant impact. Baturina and Sučić were possibly the most important players against Poland. The way these two young players are developing is something we are all proud of at Dinamo," Bjelica emphasized.
