Ex-footballer Tom Huddlestone has been appointed as the assistant coach at Birmingham City, now co-owned by NFL legend Tom Brady.
Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tom Huddlestone has secured a position as the first assistant coach at Birmingham City. The club, which currently competes in the third tier of English football, has NFL superstar Tom Brady as one of the minority owners of city rivals Aston Villa.
Huddlestone enjoyed a long career as a defensive midfielder, playing over a hundred matches for clubs like Derby County, Hull City, and Tottenham. In recent years, he worked with the youth teams at Manchester United for two seasons and had a stint as a coach at Wigan Athletic.
At Birmingham, Huddlestone will be assisting manager Chris Davies in the first team.
