Tottenham are set to appoint Thomas Frank as their new manager after parting ways with Ange Postecoglou despite winning the Europa League.
Several English sources have confirmed that Thomas Frank is set to take over as Tottenham’s new manager, with the club awaiting only the official confirmation of the deal. The 51-year-old Dane has spent the last seven years at Brentford, where he steadily transformed the club from a modest Championship side into a solid mid-table Premier League team.
Frank’s stock has risen significantly after another impressive season, as Brentford finished 10th in the league, well above preseason expectations. His ability to build competitive teams on limited budgets made him an appealing choice for Spurs, who are now looking to stabilise after a turbulent year.
Despite Tottenham's Europa League triumph and securing a return to the Champions League, the club made the bold decision to sack Ange Postecoglou. The Australian coach paid the price for a dismal domestic campaign, with Spurs finishing a disappointing 17th in the Premier League table—just above the relegation zone.
Because Frank is under contract at Brentford, Tottenham will have to pay a compensation fee, which is expected to be around €12 million.
