Tottenham completed two deadline-day deals with Chelsea, bringing Mykhailo Mudryk in on loan and signing Tosin Adarabioyo permanently for £7m.

Tottenham Hotspur finished a spectacular summer transfer window with a double raid on London rivals Chelsea, signing Mykhailo Mudryk and Tosin Adarabioyo on deadline day.
Mudryk, 25, arrives on a season-long loan with an option to make the transfer permanent for £75m. Shortly afterwards, Spurs confirmed the £7m signing of Tosin, who replaces Kevin Danso after the defender joined Sunderland on loan.
Mudryk becomes the first player to move directly between Chelsea and Tottenham since goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini in 2009. The pair are Tottenham's ninth and tenth arrivals of the summer, taking the club's total spending close to an extraordinary £400m, with Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes and Savio among their other major additions.
Mudryk reunited with Roberto De Zerbi
The Ukrainian was particularly delighted to reunite with Roberto De Zerbi, who previously coached him at Shakhtar Donetsk. "It's a great feeling. I can't wait to start training and playing for the club, and I'm so excited to be reunited with Roberto De Zerbi," Mudryk said. "I'm a player who brings speed and creativity. I want to make the fans excited."
De Zerbi believes their previous relationship can help the winger rediscover his best football. "Having worked with Misha earlier in his career, I know exactly what he can bring to our team," said the Tottenham coach. "I will demand a lot from Misha and it is our job to help him find the best version of himself. If we do that, he can become a very important player for us."
Tosin was equally enthusiastic about joining De Zerbi's project. The defender said the Italian's desire to play with courage suits his own philosophy and promised to bring a demanding mentality to Tottenham's training ground every day.
Tottenham turned to Mudryk after two failed moves
Spurs moved decisively for Mudryk after missing out on two other attacking targets on deadline day. They were unable to sign Liverpool's Cody Gakpo, while Iliman Ndiaye ultimately chose Manchester City.
The transfer also gives Mudryk a major opportunity to rebuild his career. Chelsea paid around £62m to sign him in January 2023, but his progress was dramatically interrupted when he spent 20 months sidelined following an adverse doping sample. He was cleared to return in July after the matter was resolved and had not played competitively since November 2024.
Mudryk produced some of his most exciting football under De Zerbi at Shakhtar. Now the pair are reunited in north London, where the Ukrainian will attempt to regain his match fitness and prove he can still become the player many expected him to be.
For Tottenham, the two Chelsea deals provide a dramatic conclusion to an extraordinary summer. Ten new players and spending approaching £400m underline the scale of the club's commitment to De Zerbi's new era.
