Turkish media report that Trabzonspor have revived their interest in Timi Max Elšnik, months after the Slovenian midfielder came close to joining the club during the summer transfer window.
Elšnik was on the verge of leaving Crvena zvezda for Trabzonspor, with both clubs agreeing on a transfer fee of around €5 million. The player had already given his approval and prepared for the move, but the Serbian champions eventually changed their stance, causing the deal to collapse at the last moment.
According to Taka Gazete, Trabzonspor have returned to the negotiation table and are again monitoring Elšnik’s situation. The outlet also notes that several European clubs are following the 26-year-old midfielder, whose performances continue to attract attention.
Since the failed transfer, Elšnik has signed a new contract with Crvena zvezda, committing his future to the club until 2028. His current market value is estimated at €8 million, reflecting his growing importance.
In the ongoing season, Elšnik has played 21 matches, scoring once and providing one assist, establishing himself as a reliable figure in the champions’ midfield.
