Lazio footballers yesterday defeated Atalanta 3:2 in a fantastic match at the Stadio Olimpico, but the main topic of public discussion is the fans of the Roman club due to the slogan they sent related to the conflicts between Palestine and Israel.
Fans at the Olimpico were able to enjoy a fantastic match in which we saw as many as five goals, and Lazio managed to secure a victory in the very end. The hosts were already leading 2:0 after 11 minutes with an own goal by De Ketelaere and a goal by Castellanos, but Atalanta managed to come back.
The visitors from Bergamo reduced the score to 2:1 in the 33rd minute through Ederson, and then, in the middle of the second half, Bosnian representative Sead Kolašinac was in the spotlight, scoring a great header for 2:2.
When it was expected that Lazio and Atalanta would share points, the Olimpico "exploded" again in the final moments. The hosts, thanks to Vecino who scored a goal for 3:2, managed to break Atalanta's resistance and secure a victory.
However, the main topic after the match at the Olimpico is the slogan of Lazio fans, which could be seen in the stand where the most loyal fans of this club are located. The slogan is related to the conflicts that have been ongoing for days between Palestine and Israel, and Lazio fans have expressed support for the people of Palestine.
"Free Palestine. Ultras Lazio," read the slogan that was at the Olimpico yesterday, and the fans of the Roman club published it even before the start of the match, showing that they stand with the people of Palestine. Lazio fans are not the only ones who have publicly expressed support for the Palestinians, as Celtic fans did so on Saturday as well.
"Free Palestine," "Victory to the Resistance," the fans of the famous Scottish club clearly stated at the match against Kilmarnock.
