It's hard to believe, but it's true! Nicolo Zaniolo has suffered yet another injury just before a major tournament, making it highly likely that he will miss the European Championship in Germany.

The attacker has never played in a major tournament throughout his career.

This summer's European Championship will once again likely proceed without one of Italy's brightest stars. Nicolo Zaniolo, currently on loan at Aston Villa, was injured in a Premier League match against Liverpool, an injury that will probably rule him out of the tournament in Germany.

The Italian forward, who is officially a player for Turkish club Galatasaray, managed only 14 minutes against the Reds before suffering a new blow. Both clubs and the player are awaiting confirmation of the injury's nature, as is Italy's coach, Luciano Spalletti.

Zaniolo injured his foot, and initial reports suggest that recovery from such an injury takes about a month. Italy's first match at the European Championship in Germany, against Scotland in Munich, is precisely one month away, making it very unlikely that Zaniolo will be part of the Azzurri squad for the upcoming Euro.

This will be the second consecutive European Championship that the former Roma star will miss due to injury. In 2021, during the postponed Euro, Zaniolo was still recovering from a knee injury and watched Italy's championship triumph from the stands.

Zaniolo made his debut for the Italian national team in 2019. However, the Azzurri failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup. Injuries, as well as misfortune, have so far kept the Italian star from participating in any major tournaments, and it seems this streak will continue.
