Gennaro Gattuso passionately celebrates Hajduk Split’s 1-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb, as the Italian legend’s emotional connection to the club continues to shine.
Gennaro Gattuso has fully immersed himself in his role at Hajduk Split, giving his all both on and off the pitch. Beyond his coaching responsibilities, the Italian legend has actively participated in charity events and embraced the community, showing just how much leading the Split-based club means to him.
That passion was on full display last night during Hajduk’s 1-0 victory over rivals Dinamo Zagreb in a packed Poljud Stadium. Niko Sigur scored the game’s only goal, earning Hajduk three valuable points and extending their lead over Dinamo to seven points in the standings.
This marked Gattuso’s second win against Dinamo this season, and the result clearly meant the world to him. Despite a storied career that includes winning the Serie A, the Champions League with AC Milan, and the World Cup with Italy, Gattuso celebrated as if it was his first major triumph, radiating energy and emotion.
"I’m emotional. We won because we worked hard. I wanted to see effort— we’re a big family. But we can’t look at the standings; we need to learn from last season. We played as a team, which is especially important in front of our fans. It was a tactical match. Dinamo pushed hard—they’re a quality team, as they’ve shown in the Champions League," Gattuso said after the game.
