For the first time since the match between Argentina and Saudi Arabia at the World Cup, a goal from Lionel Messi couldn't prevent his team from losing.
Inter Miami, with its star-studded lineup, leads the MLS standings. However, the team, filled with former Barcelona stars, is not invincible.
After ten consecutive unbeaten matches, Inter Miami lost yesterday to Atlanta, a team that hadn't won a match in two months. Atlanta triumphed 3-1, and even Lionel Messi's goal, reminiscent of one of his most crucial goals at the last World Cup in Qatar against Mexico, couldn't save Inter Miami.
Messi has scored 11 goals and provided 12 assists in 13 appearances this season. However, yesterday marked the first time since Argentina's match against Saudi Arabia that despite Messi's goal, his team lost.
