Ultras displayed a banner reading "Stop the genocide in Gaza" during PSG's historic 5-0 win in Munich.
Paris Saint-Germain made history with a crushing 5-0 victory over Inter Milan in the Champions League final, but the spotlight wasn't only on the action on the pitch. In the stands, a message from the PSG Ultras drew attention and stirred discussion around the globe.
During the match at the Allianz Arena in Munich, a group of PSG's most vocal supporters raised a large banner that read: "Stop the genocide in Gaza", surrounded by lit flares. The scene was not broadcast on TV but was widely captured and shared by fans in the stadium.
PSG’s Ultras have regularly expressed support for Palestinian civilians during the ongoing conflict in Gaza. This is not the first time they have raised political banners, and they have previously directed strong criticism—sometimes inflammatory—toward Israel.
While UEFA typically prohibits political messaging in stadiums, PSG fans have continued to bring global issues into football's biggest stages. The banner was displayed during PSG’s dominant performance, with goals from Achraf Hakimi, Desire Doue (2), Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Senny Mayulu sealing the biggest-ever win in a Champions League final.
