Gift Orban gets into a confrontation with a fan after Verona’s loss to Milan, with the incident filmed and now under investigation by Italian authorities.
Gift Orban found himself at the center of controversy after Verona’s 1-0 defeat to Milan, following an incident with a fan outside the Bentegodi stadium.
According to eyewitness accounts, the Nigerian striker appeared visibly frustrated after the result, and the situation quickly escalated beyond the pitch.
The confrontation reportedly began when Orban declined a fan’s request for a photo, which led to a verbal exchange.
Tensions rose further when a fan allegedly struck Orban’s car. The player then exited the vehicle, and the situation turned physical, resulting in a fight.
The incident was recorded by bystanders, and the footage has since spread rapidly across social media.
Security forces, including Italy’s Digos unit, arrived at the scene and have opened an investigation into what happened. It remains unclear what consequences could follow for the player.
Orban joined Verona from Hoffenheim in the summer and has made 28 appearances in Serie A this season, recording seven goals and three assists in his first year in Italy.
