Vinicius Jr backed Lamine Yamal after abuse, urging players to unite and use their influence to fight racism and support those facing discrimination worldwide.
Vinicius Jr. has publicly supported Lamine Yamal after the Barcelona youngster was targeted with insults during a friendly match between Spain and Egypt at the RCDE Stadium.
The incident left Yamal visibly shaken in his home province, and his reaction triggered strong support across the football world.
Vinicius, who has faced repeated racist abuse in European stadiums, used the moment to send a clear message about responsibility and unity among players.
"It's very important that Lamine speaks out because he can help others. We are famous, we have money and we can deal with it more easily, but the poor and black people around the world are struggling much more than us," said the Real Madrid star.
"That's why we, who have a stronger voice, have to stick together."
Vinicius stressed that silence is not an option and that players must use their platform to fight discrimination, regardless of club rivalries.
He also addressed the broader issue, making it clear where he believes the real problem lies.
"I don't think countries like Spain, Germany or Brazil are racist. The problem is the individuals, who we need to isolate and punish," he explained.
His comments come shortly after another controversy involving Vinicius, when he accused Gianluca Prestianni of racist insults during a match against Benfica. The Portuguese club denied the claims, but UEFA still suspended the Argentine player, ruling him out of the return leg in Madrid.
Despite ongoing incidents, Vinicius remains focused on pushing for change.
"If we continue together, I believe that future generations will not have to experience such things anymore."
The message shared by Vinicius and Yamal has quickly gained attention, highlighting once again the growing role of footballers in the global fight against racism.
