Vladan Kovačević is set to join Real Betis as part of a goalkeeper swap with Sporting CP, making a major leap to La Liga as Betis’ first-choice goalkeeper.
Vladan Kovačević, who began his career with Sarajevo, is reportedly close to securing a transfer to Real Betis, where he is expected to become the first-choice goalkeeper. According to Italian journalist Luca Bendoni, Sporting CP and Betis are finalizing a swap deal involving their current goalkeepers.
As part of the agreement, Rui Silva, Betis’ number one, will move to Sporting, opening the door for Kovačević to take the reins in Seville.
Kovačević joined Sporting at the start of the season and featured in the team’s first four matches. However, an ankle injury saw him lose his place in the starting XI. Despite this setback, his performances have attracted attention, and he now has the opportunity to prove himself in one of Europe’s top leagues.
If the deal is finalized, Kovačević will move to a stronger competition and gain the chance to showcase his abilities at the highest level. Betis, currently competing in La Liga and European competitions, offers an exciting platform for the Bosnian goalkeeper.
