Juventus hesitate over Dušan Vlahović's contract as form and injury affect his value, with salary cuts and agent commission becoming key issues in negotiations.
Dušan Vlahović is facing a difficult moment in his career, as contract talks with Juventus have slowed and his market value continues to fall.
The Serbian striker has missed several months due to injury, which disrupted his season and affected his form. During his recovery, he remained in negotiations with the club over a new deal, but progress has been far from smooth.
Recent reports from Italy suggested that an agreement was close, but the situation has shifted. Juventus is now taking a more cautious approach, using the player’s current struggles as leverage in negotiations.
The club still wants to keep Vlahović, but his lack of goals and high salary have raised concerns. He is currently the highest-paid player at the club and in Serie A, earning around €12 million per year.
That figure is now under pressure. Vlahović is reportedly open to accepting a lower salary, but both sides have yet to agree on the final terms. Juventus is also reconsidering additional bonuses and remains firm on reducing the financial package.
Another sensitive point in the talks is the commission of his agent, Darko Ristić. The club is pushing to limit those costs, which has added further tension to the negotiations.
Vlahović’s current contract runs until June 30. If no agreement is reached, he will become a free agent, a scenario that could attract strong interest across Europe.
In Italy, AC Milan is already mentioned as a potential destination, while clubs from other top leagues are expected to monitor the situation closely.
For Vlahović, the coming months will be decisive, both for his future in Turin and for rebuilding his value on the pitch.
