Napoli and Inter will fight for the Serie A title in the final round. One point separates them, and multiple scenarios could crown a champion—or even trigger a play-off.
The 2024–25 Serie A title race will go down to the final matchday with Napoli holding a narrow one-point lead over Inter after both sides dropped points in the penultimate round.
Napoli played out a 0–0 draw away at Parma, while Inter needed a last-minute penalty from Pedro to salvage a 2–2 draw against Lazio at San Siro.

What Napoli need to win the title:
- Win vs. Cagliari – Napoli are champions, regardless of other results.
- Draw vs. Cagliari – Napoli are champions only if Inter fail to win.
- Lose vs. Cagliari – Napoli still win the title if Inter also lose.
Napoli face a Cagliari side that has already secured safety and has nothing left to play for, putting the Partenopei in a favourable position.
What Inter need to win the title:
- Win vs. Como – Inter are champions if Napoli draw or lose.
- Draw vs. Como – Inter force a title play-off only if Napoli lose.
Inter must win away at newly promoted Como and hope for help from Cagliari to overtake Napoli on the final day.
Serie A title play-off scenario:
There is one possible outcome that would lead to a historic one-off play-off to decide the champion: if Napoli lose to Cagliari and Inter draw against Como, both teams would finish level on points and a decider would be played.
