With Luka Modrić set to leave Real Madrid this summer, several clubs are already lining up to sign the iconic Croatian midfielder ahead of what could be his final World Cup.

According to AS, Modrić will not extend his contract with Madrid this summer. But retirement isn’t on the cards just yet — especially with the 2026 World Cup still on his radar. Here are the most likely destinations for one of the game’s most admired midfielders.
1. Saudi Arabia
Clubs in the Saudi Pro League are expected to lead the race. Modrić has previously turned down massive offers, but with his Madrid chapter ending, the financial lure — and a lighter playing schedule — could now make sense. Al Nassr and Al Ittihad have both shown interest before.
2. MLS – United States
