Paris Saint-Germain star Presnel Kimpembe has suffered a severe injury, keeping him off the field for over 400 days. Warning: the attached image is quite graphic.

The exceptional central defender has been sidelined for over a year. The 28-year-old sustained a severe tear in his Achilles tendon, undergoing several surgeries. He recently shared a photo of his leg in its current state. For athletes, this type of injury is particularly devastating, with many never fully returning to their former performance levels.

Even those who recover and return to the game often struggle to regain their pre-injury form.

Kimpembe, a PSG academy product, has been with the club since 2005, accumulating 236 appearances for the senior team. He has won numerous trophies, including seven Ligue 1 titles, five French Cups, four League Cups, and six Super Cups

He has also been successful with the French national team, winning the World Cup in 2018 and the UEFA Nations League in 2021.
