France tops the rankings of the most valuable squads at the 2026 World Cup ahead of England, Spain, and Portugal.
All squads for the 2026 World Cup are finally confirmed, and with the tournament only days away, another ranking always attracts attention.
Money.
Or more precisely, market value.
According to current player valuations, France enters the tournament as the most expensive national team in football.
Didier Deschamps has a squad valued at an enormous €1.53 billion.
The French team also boasts four players already valued at €100 million or more.

England and Spain complete the podium, while Portugal joins them in the exclusive billion-euro group.

The biggest surprise near the top is probably Norway.
Despite limited success on the international stage in recent decades, the Scandinavian side ranks ninth globally thanks to the enormous market values of players like Erling Haaland, Martin Odegaard and several younger stars.
Germany narrowly missed joining the billion-euro club.
Brazil and Argentina, traditionally among the strongest football nations, sit lower than many might expect.
At the other end of the ranking stands Jordan.
The Asian side arrives as the least valuable squad at the tournament with an estimated market value of only €19.83 million.
History shows one thing, though.
Market value helps.
