Xavi Simons will continue to play for Leipzig in the new season.
The uncertainty surrounding Xavi Simons' future is finally over. Leipzig has officially confirmed that the 21-year-old Dutch international will play alongside Benjamin Šeško and the rest of his teammates in the new season!
This also ends all speculation about a potential transfer elsewhere, including Bayern, who showed interest. However, PSG is not willing to sell the player and has only loaned him to the German club for another season.
Last season, Simons played 42 matches for Leipzig, scoring 10 goals and providing 15 assists. Alongside Šeško, who signed a new contract with Leipzig before the European Championship in Germany, Simons is another key player who sees his future at the club.
Leipzig is now waiting to see what Dani Olmo will decide. Barcelona is very interested in him, but it remains to be seen if they can gather enough funds for his transfer.
