Lamine Yamal’s injury has raised serious concern, with experts warning of a high risk of recurrence and uncertainty over his return and World Cup participation.

Lamine Yamal is facing a worrying situation after his latest injury, which has raised concerns at Barcelona and within the Spain national team.

The 18-year-old was injured during the match against Celta Vigo, where he scored the decisive goal but also felt pain in his hamstring.

Doctors will provide a clearer diagnosis after further examinations, but early indications are not encouraging.

Sports medicine expert Pedro Luis Ripoll has warned about the nature of such injuries.

"These injuries have around a 30 percent risk of recurrence, so extreme caution is required when determining the return," he explained.

He also outlined different scenarios depending on the exact damage.

"If it is a muscle injury, the outlook is better. If the tendon or the connection between muscle and tendon is affected, the absence could last at least four to six weeks," he said.

This puts several important matches in doubt.

Yamal is expected to miss El Clasico against Real Madrid, a major blow for Barcelona.

The bigger concern is the World Cup, where his availability is now uncertain.

"At this stage, it is too early to define the injury precisely. National teams want fully fit players, and with this level of risk, his selection is very questionable," Ripoll added.

Barcelona now faces a key decision.

The club must balance the need for a quick return with the importance of full recovery.

"Maximum caution is needed," the expert stressed.

Further tests in the coming days will determine the exact severity, but it is already clear that this injury could influence both the end of the season and Yamal’s chances of playing on the biggest stage in football.
