Giuliano Simeone, the youngest son of Atletico coach Diego Simeone, is becoming a breakout star with passion, talent, and fan-favorite status at the Madrid club.

Giuliano Simeone, the youngest of Diego Pablo Simeone’s three sons, is quickly emerging as the most promising footballer in the family, carving out his own path at Atletico Madrid.

The 22-year-old winger, affectionately nicknamed El Cholito (Little Cholo), has made 40 appearances across all competitions this season, contributing five goals and seven assists. His recent standout performance against Valladolid — where he scored a stunning goal and won a penalty — confirmed his rising status.

Unlike his brothers, Giuliano is coached by his father at Atletico, a dynamic that initially sparked skepticism. But the young Argentine has silenced doubters by proving he is not in the squad because of his surname, but rather because of his relentless work ethic and fiery passion.

His elder brother Giovanni Simeone, 29, plays for Napoli and has six caps for Argentina, while middle brother Gianluca plays in Spain’s lower leagues. However, it is Giuliano who has now broken into the senior Argentina national team, earning three appearances already.

Much like his father, Giuliano plays with emotion and intensity, which has made him a quick favorite among Atletico fans. His goal celebrations echo El Cholo’s passion, and his commitment on the pitch reflects the values that have long defined Atletico Madrid.

"For me, playing for this club is the greatest thing there is. I've always wanted to be part of it and I'll always give my all," Giuliano said after the Valladolid match.

In Madrid, these words resonate deeply — a son of the club, led by a father who is its symbol, is now writing his own chapter in the red and white story.
