Swansea City have rewarded Žan Vipotnik with a long-term deal until 2030 after the Slovenian striker’s impressive season as the Championship’s top scorer.
Žan Vipotnik has taken a major step in his career after signing a new long-term contract with Swansea City.
The Slovenian striker, who has attracted strong interest from across Europe, has extended his deal until 2030, confirming his place as a key figure at the club.
Swansea moved quickly to secure his future after an outstanding season in the Championship.
Vipotnik is currently the top scorer for both his team and the entire league, with 19 goals.
Clubs such as Real Betis had already shown interest, but Swansea responded by offering improved terms and long-term security.
The player did not hide his satisfaction.
"I am very happy to sign a new contract. I enjoy football here, and the support from the coaches, teammates, and fans is incredible," Vipotnik said.
"I want to finish the season strong and continue helping the team."
Head coach Vitor Matos highlighted the striker’s importance.
"Žan is having a great season. His goals have been key to our results. This contract is a deserved reward," Matos said.
The 23-year-old joined Swansea in the summer of 2024 after leaving Bordeaux, following his earlier rise at Maribor.
His first season in England was challenging, as he missed part of the preparation period and finished with seven goals in 44 appearances.
This season tells a completely different story.
Vipotnik has developed into one of the most effective forwards in the league, combining physical presence with consistent finishing.
