Italian giants AC Milan haven’t started the new season as expected. Zlatan Ibrahimović got involved, and today the players were late to training under Paulo Fonseca.
AC Milan underwent a summer overhaul in their squad and appointed Paulo Fonseca as head coach. However, the new personnel changes haven’t yet delivered the anticipated results. Milan has played five matches this season, suffering two losses and two draws, with only one victory. Adding to the pressure, in just three days, they face a crucial match – the derby against Inter Milan.
The Milan derby is always a high-stakes encounter, especially as Inter are the reigning champions and will be the favorites on Sunday.
Another defeat could further destabilize the team, and Fonseca might be looking at a quick end to his stint at Milan. In response, Zlatan Ibrahimović, the former striker and now an AC Milan official, held a meeting with the players in the locker room.
The meeting lasted quite a while, and as a result, the team was late for training, which was scheduled to start at 11 a.m.
