So much talent, yet so much bad luck. The former 'heir to Lionel Messi' has been playing for Barcelona since the age of 16 but has had only one 'full' season.

Ansu Fati was in 2020 what young winger Lamine Yamal is today for Barcelona. In August 2019, he debuted for the senior team as a 16-year-old, showing incredible potential. He finished the season with eight goals in La Liga and started the next season even more impressively: 10 appearances, five goals, and four assists.

Then the injuries began. Fati was sidelined for the rest of the season after an injury and faced a similar fate the following season, despite another strong start.

In the 2021/22 season, he managed six goals and one assist in 15 appearances before another injury ended his season. The following 2022/23 season saw him make 51 appearances, but he no longer shone as brightly as before his injuries: 10 goals and four assists.

Last season, the 21-year-old Fati spent on loan at Brighton, where he again suffered an injury, missing 15 matches and scoring four goals in England. Now, with the end of his loan, he has returned to Barcelona - only to find himself sidelined again. This time, it's a foot injury, as reported by the Catalan giant. His recovery period is yet to be determined.

The unfortunate Fati recently wore the number 10 jersey at Barcelona and was a regular for the Spanish national team. Sadly, his career has taken a 180-degree turn.
