Real Madrid no match for Barcelona as Catalans win another trophy.
Barcelona has once again defeated their great rival Real Madrid and claimed a cup trophy! The Catalans have been a true nightmare for Real Madrid this season, beating them in all three encounters so far!
It all started last October, at the La Liga El Clasico in Madrid. Barcelona celebrated a stunning 4-0 victory! In January, Barcelona defeated Madrid again, this time in the Spanish Super Cup played in Saudi Arabia, winning 5-2. Yesterday's win in the cup final marked Barcelona's second El Clasico trophy this season!
The two giants will clash once more this season, with a second La Liga encounter scheduled for May 11. It could turn into a direct battle for the league title, as only four points separate them in the Spanish league standings.
Barcelona hasn't shown such dominance over their rivals since the era when Pep Guardiola led the team — and he left the club back in 2012.
