Aleksandar Pantić, with a rich career across Europe, joins East Bengal as a "Serbian warrior" to strengthen their defense in the Indian Super League.
After spells in Serbia, Spain, Ukraine, Poland, and Cyprus - India calls! Serbian defender Aleksandar Pantić (31), having left Cypriot club Doxa after eight matches as a free agent, will continue his career in India, signing with Super League team East Bengal.
Aleksandar Pantić (33) has been welcomed to East Bengal, hailed as the "Serbian warrior here to bolster our defense."
"We have acquired a player in Pantić who brings immense experience from top European clubs like Villarreal, Dynamo Kyiv, and Red Star Belgrade. I know him from my time working in Cypriot football," said coach Carles Cuadrat, who has previously worked with Pantić in Cyprus.
Pantić started his career at Rad, before moving to Red Star Belgrade, where he played during the 2012/2013 season. From Marakana, he transferred to Villarreal for a fee of €300,000, later playing for Cordoba, Eibar, and Alaves.
He also had stints with Dynamo Kyiv and wore the jersey of Polish club Zagłębie. In Cyprus, he played for Doxa and AEL Limassol.
