Inter Milan's decision to part ways with Marko Arnautović could pave the way for his move to Red Star Belgrade, with the Serbian club eyeing a significant boost for their Champions League campaign.
Inter Milan is reportedly looking to terminate their collaboration with
Marko Arnautović, which might open a window for Red Star Belgrade to secure a key signing for their next assault on the Champions League.
Could Marko Arnautović and Red Star Belgrade finally unite? The talented Serbian, who has played for Austria, may soon wear the Red Star jersey. Previously, Red Star's general director, Zvezdan Terzić, had wanted the accomplished Serbian striker, but at that time, Arnautović chose to move to Bologna to work with the late Siniša Mihajlović.
Last summer, Arnautović transferred to Inter and won a title, but according to reports from Italy, it seems unlikely that the cooperation will continue next season. Arnautović's contract, which earns him €3 million per season, runs until the summer of 2025.
Latest updates indicate that Inter is ready to sell him and is open to offers. There would be no issues if Arnautović decided to terminate the contract at his own expense.
At 35 years old, Arnautović could fulfill his wish to don the red and white of Red Star. A significant role in this potential transfer could be played by Red Star captain Aleksandar Dragović, a former teammate of Arnautović's from the Austrian national team.
Marko Arnautović has struggled with injuries and has scored just four goals, with three assists, in 33 matches for Inter.
