Athletic Bilbao player Raúl García has announced his retirement from playing at the end of the current season.
This 38-year-old midfielder managed to win the Copa del Rey with the Basque club, marking Athletic's first trophy in 40 years. Raúl García is considered a La Liga legend, as he is third on the list for the most matches played in the league.
Only Andoni Zubizarreta and Joaquín, who each have 622 appearances, have played more games than him.
During his career, García has also played for Atlético Madrid and Osasuna.
